TO #FoS 2017:
The countdown continues to Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017. You may have seen via one of our social media streams an awesome looking Renault Clio in Wera livery. If you’re at FoS you’ll be able to see it up close and personal on the Wera stand!
Wera UK are pleased to announce a new tie up with Alex Reade Racing contesting the very exciting Renault UK Clio Cup 2017. Supporting the British Touring Car Championship, every round is televised on ITV4 with meetings held at all of the main UK race circuits attracting around 40,000 spectators at each meeting. The series is contested by young drivers keen to show off their talent hoping to progress to the top of the sports car or single seater tree.
Alex Reade’s drivers are no exception. In the words of Renault, “the firm title favourites are joined for 2017 by exciting ex-MINI men Luke Reade and Sam Osborne”
Luke Reade is an accomplished graphic designer who has created a truly stunning Wera liveried car that is the talk of the teams. It can’t be missed! The second car driven by Sam Osborne also bears Wera graphics.
The £50,000 cars built by Renault are all exactly the same, so driver skills, bravery and “slipstreaming” are critical elements for success. The result is very, very exciting racing (with resultant collateral damage).
This rebellious racing fits exactly to Wera’s Tool Rebel culture, but many other factors make this relationship dynamic.
Besides the TV coverage everyone can see the cars perform at the remaining championship races:
Snetterton – 29th – 30th Jul
Rockingham – 26th – 27th Aug
Silverstone National – 16th – 17th Sep
Brands Hatch Grand Prix – 30th Sep – 1st Oct
We’d like to take the opportunity to wish the guys all the best for the rest of the season once more, and for those who cannot get to the meetings or watch the coverage, you can see more and follow the action directly through the Alex Reade Motorsport Facebook Page. And we will of course keep the Tool Rebel Community informed via ToolRebels.com & via social media @weratoolsuk.
